Welcome to our blog about Let It Be, our new Fountaine Pajot Helia 44’ catamaran. This is our first foray into catamaran ownership and chartering and we are really excited about it.
The Helia 44 is Fountaine Pajot’s innovative replacement for the admirable Orana. The Helia hits all the important areas for today’s sailor; spacious living in a catamaran that sails well. The raised helm station seats 3 people and is as social as it is practical. Let It Be has several convivial areas such as the lounge deck on top of the bimini, the open and spacious cockpit, the beautiful salon and galley that open nicely onto the cockpit and the comfortable trampoline for enjoying the sun. The galley’s functional layout is complemented by the large separate freezer and fridge opposite the galley entrance. Due to the sliding galley window the cook is never separated from the activity in the cockpit. The four individual cabins are very bright, pleasant and comfortable. Each cabin has it’s own spacious bathroom with separate shower and head.
Due to the generous sail plan and light displacement the Helia sails well and remains very manageable. The electric winch makes easy work of sail raising and handling. All lines are led to the raised steering station making a simple task of tacking and changing course.
