STAR ALERT! Ticket To Ride Lands Leading Role In Video.

Ok, maybe TTR isn’t really the star of the videos, but we think she shines! (twinkles?)

TTR blending with the Tuamotus water.

Recently we had the pleasure of hosting Nikki and Jason Wynn on board Ticket to Ride. Jason and Nikki are fellow sailors and also former Dallas, TX residents. Since leaving Dallas to video document their land and sea travels, the Wynns have created a popular YouTube channel entitled “Gone with the Wynns.”

Not too long ago, Jason and Nikki sold their first boat to buy an HH Catamaran and they are anxiously awaiting the completion of their new floating home. Sound familiar?

Frank and I well remember missing the water while we were waiting for Ticket to Ride to be finished, so we invited the Wynns to spend some time aboard TTR for some water time and to give them a little insight into their future boat.

I have long been a fan of the Wynn’s YouTube channel as their videography is superb and I enjoy their content focus. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Jason and Nikki beyond their camera personas and we can share that they are lovely people; easy to sail with, excellent crew and cooks as well as just fun to be around.

So far, “Gone with the Wynns” has publish four YouTube videos about their time on TTR covering a variety of sailing subjects. If you are interested in watching, below I have posted the links to each video in order of their publication dates.

This is quite the “open house” episode.
Learn a little about “grocery shopping” in remote areas but stay for the water scenes!
Yep, many sailors dislike this point of sail.
Really, why choose to move to a performance catamaran?

We are thrilled to have these high quality videos of Ticket to Ride and some of our experiences on her. Thank you Jason and Nikki!

If you take the time to watch the videos, we would love to hear your opinion: Which style do you prefer – Vlogs or Blogs? Any strong reason you prefer writing over video or video over writing? Please let us know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for visiting our blog. We hope you enjoy this video peek into Ticket to Ride. We are very blessed to own her and explore from her decks. We wish you good health and fun adventures!

Love the look of the TTR caps. You should consider selling them.

    1. Hi Alex, thank you so much for this kind note. Sorry for the delayed response, we have been without normal communications for a month and just returned to an area with service today.
We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Jason and Nikki. They are fun and competent sailors. I hope the love their new boat and are as satisfied with it as we are with TTR.

  3. Since you asked…. I much, much prefer reading to watching videos–even if I didn’t have to postpone watching the video to times when I’m alone. I got started reading sailing blogs nearly 20 years ago with Bumfuzzle.

    1. Betsy, you are a dedicated watcher/reader if you have been reading about sailing for 20 years.
I’m with you, reading is faster for me. Plus I enjoy the written descriptions that I can fill in with my own imagination. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Love your Blog. REALLY love TTR! I’ve watched the GWTW videos about 3 times. Blogs are good but I enjoy a video now and then. You two have a great boat and know how to get the performance out of it. Best of luck in all your travels!

    1. Hi Mike, thank you so much for your comment! I really enjoy writing but videos and editing are not one of my talents. I keep toying with adding more video, but…. We consider ourselves quite fortunate to have Ticket to Ride and explore from such a comfortable platform!
      All the best to you.
